I called Humbolt customer to explain the problem and was promised they would look into the problem and get back to me. I never got a response from them. So, I spent $25. including shipping for a "replacement" grass bag I can't install! Buyer beware!

(More customer reviews)This is my second summer using this mower. I not only cut our yard in Georgia which is all uphill or down hill, I cut the road swale twice in the summer. The mower lays down and cuts grass and weeds like a tractor! It is more expensive to be sure but it is definitely a commercial machine. If you wanna do some serious turf cutting get the Beast! The only change I made was to call Sarlo and have them talk me through adjusting the engine speed up to increase the forward speed some.

Neuton Trimmer/Edger Attachment For CE 6 Lawn Mowers Review

(More customer reviews)Bummer that the previous reviewer had reliability issues with his Trimmer/Edger attachment. I bought mine with my Neuton 6.0 and it's worked fine, so seeing the other review, I felt I should mention how well it actually works.
And the answer is, very well. It's a powerful little trimmer, and the convenience of being able to just throw the switch on the handle of the mower to swap between mowing and trimming can't be beat. I use this to edge, and to hit tall grass/weeds near the dropoffs or fences where the mower "can't cut it."
The only downside is that it's not as easily maneuverable as a hand-held trimmer. Because it's mounted on one side of the mower, you may have to swing the mower around and reverse directions to be able to put the trimmer into the right spot. Not a big deal.
I have a nice gas trimmer as well, but it never gets used as this is so much more convenient, and no messing with gas/oil.

(More customer reviews)Took it out for the first cut of the season on the day I received it. Have tall weeds and leaves covering yard. Mower had no problem cutting through everything. I used the bag, all the clipping were packed tightly in the bag, filling it completely.
The handle is padded and comfortable to use. The handle is fixed in position which makes it easy to control the mower. I have a steep slope to mow so the fixed handle works well for me, but it takes up room when stowed.
The switch is on the right hand side so your always holding it with your right hand. When you release the switch the mower stops immediately.
If you are expecting quiet, this is not it. If you have a small yard or slopes and don't want to mess with gas this mower works well.

When the mower arrived, I turned it over to look at the undercarriage and found that it was made of plastic, and that the 3/8" metal axles were pressed into flexible plastic pressure clips. The only thing holding the axles to the mower were the plastic clips, one on the end of each axle. If one of those clips broke, the machine would be unrepairable, and unusable.
I tried to return this unused item to Amazon, but I learned then that gas powered machines can not be returned. It makes sense, but I wish that I had known before I bought it. So this may help other buyers in their purchases.
Since I have the machine, I am going to try to use it, perhaps I can learn how to fix it if it breaks. It certainly is a machine that seems to have more value than to be landfill if one axle clip breaks.

After reading the operator's manual and the engine manual and assembling the mower, it was difficult to determine how best to start the mower. The MTD operator's manual declares that information is found in the engine manual. They also state that as their mower models change, the operator's manual may not fit the mower that was shipped, and that they assume no responsibility for that fact.
Further, in the engine manual, there are diagrams for 9 different engine setups, and of course Honda could have no way to determine in which manner their engines would be set up.
It seems to me that MTD should be more informative since it is their machine.
I did find that as I set the choke and then squeezed on the kill switch bar the choke went back to the off setting. However, when I pulled on the starter cord, the engine did start, and has continued to do so.
I hope this helps someone using this particular model. I think the mower will serve its purpose, and I am glad that it has the Honda engine.

(More customer reviews)I've been using this mower every week for two months now, and I am overall happy with it. The picture on this page is wrong as of the date of this review. The mower that you will get has a nice double lever console for the rear wheel drive control. The levers are very well positioned and the drive will engage with either left or right lever pulled.
The mower starts on the first pull every time. The choke system is idiot proof. One thing that stands out about this mower is the air filter. It's nothing special. It is the same filter that is on the Briggs and Stratton motor that it is replacing. The air filter on the Briggs motor would need to be cleaned twice during one lawn mowing. There is a bit more dirt and dust here, no doubt. But the same filter on the Honda motor doesn't need to be cleaned until the job is done, and even then the filter is half as dirty as one cleaning of the Briggs motor filter. I surmise that it has something to do with the position of the filter that makes it run so much cleaner on the Honda.
I don't have any regrets about buying this mower. It is doing the job and it is not difficult to operate.

Oregon Gator Mulcher 3-N-1 Lawn Mower Blade For John Deere 21-Inch 91-476 92-676 Review

(More customer reviews)I give these blades 4 stars because even though they're great they aren't as great as my 20 year old Toro Wheel Horse mulching mower. That old dog is the best! To get my old Toro today would cost over $3000 easily. They just don't make mowers that are true mulchers anymore at a reasonable price. When I found these I was hopeful they would do the trick. They do indeed. I highly recommend them to anyone with a John Deere riding mower. They work substantially better than the 'mulching blades' they put on our JD instead of the regular blades it came with. I am now looking forward to seeing how they work on my fall leaves.

(More customer reviews)This mower seems good overall - I didnt realize it had electronic start and it arrived with everything except the keys! I tracked down the manufacturer and they sent me new ones in a week or so. And the pull start works without keys so I was able to mow. It was pretty easy to assemble but it sure weighs a lot. I have never had a power drive mower before so maybe they are all heavy. It doesnt always start on the first few tries but will after 4-5 pulls usually. It cuts very well and the bagger fits on nicely.
