(More customer reviews)I am getting a bit older (55) and have a lot of leaves to rake every fall. I didn't want to pay a fortune for some of the models that are available. I have the snow blower from this company and love it. It works great and is a terrific value for the money. I thought I would take a chance on this since I have had a very good experience with this company before.
This is a fantastic machine for the money. I used it for the first time a few days ago. It picked up both wet and dry leaves. The leaves had been on the ground for a week already, so they were a bit matted and stuck together. The vacuum picked them up (plus some of the acorns, too). I had to go over the stuck leaves more slowly to get them up.
This machine disintegrates the leaves into tiny pieces. I used 1/3 of the bags that I normally use.
I can't say enough about this product. If you are looking for a lightweight, lower cost, lawn vaccum, that really works, this is the one.
I used a 50 ft 14/3 cord and it did very well. I'm going to buy a 12/3 100ft. I think it will do even better with the thicker gauge wire.

(More customer reviews)I have a fairly large lot (1/2 acre) and cleaning up leaves in the fall used to take me all afternoon. This sweeper does a very good job. I finished my leaf sweeping in just over an hour. It took some experimenting with how fast to go at first, but after playing with it for a little while it worked great. I'm highly satisfied with it. It does take up a lot of space in my shed, but if you pull a couple of pins the bag detaches from the main housing and you can store it more compactly.

Very easy assembly.
Don't buy this online at these prices. The Home Depot near me is selling it right now for under $280. This is their standard price, not a sale.

Had to mount them sideways to get openings to line up with the metal frame -- doesn't look too pretty, but they are working -- somewhat. Cutting & drilling out all the rivets to put these on was a royal PITA. Had to re-align everything to keep grass from blowing out of the top ( I have the optional JD power bagger, which blasts the grass in there ). These are overpriced too. Next time I'll save myself the stress & order genuine John Deere bags!!

Neuton Trimmer/Edger Attachment For CE 6 Lawn Mowers Review

(More customer reviews)Bummer that the previous reviewer had reliability issues with his Trimmer/Edger attachment. I bought mine with my Neuton 6.0 and it's worked fine, so seeing the other review, I felt I should mention how well it actually works.
And the answer is, very well. It's a powerful little trimmer, and the convenience of being able to just throw the switch on the handle of the mower to swap between mowing and trimming can't be beat. I use this to edge, and to hit tall grass/weeds near the dropoffs or fences where the mower "can't cut it."
The only downside is that it's not as easily maneuverable as a hand-held trimmer. Because it's mounted on one side of the mower, you may have to swing the mower around and reverse directions to be able to put the trimmer into the right spot. Not a big deal.
I have a nice gas trimmer as well, but it never gets used as this is so much more convenient, and no messing with gas/oil.

(More customer reviews)Save yourself some grief. I bought one of these from Sears. I thought it was going to shake itself apart before I could return it. It is also quite loud, because of the tiny cheap muffler. No mowing in reverse. I heard you will have to disconnect a wire from the tranny to mow in reverse, and this voids the warranty!) If you are thinking about this one make sure you can return it. (Sears is a class act on stuff like this) My prior mower was a Craftsman from 1999. This thing isn't in the same class. The 1999 Craftsman was made by AYP, and in my opinion is far superior to MTD products. The only lower priced AYP mowers are Poulan.

(More customer reviews)I never would have bought this item if I had known there was no acid included with the purchase.Every one around here quit supplying acid long ago and there is none to be found.I drove many miles and found some only to have to pay an additional $12.00 for the acid.I found the same battery at wal mart 50 miles from home that sold the battery for $50.00 plus all needed acid in box.I definetly felt ripped off,which I was.I have over $70.00 plus many miles plus 12.00 acid and when I received first battery it was busted and I had to take to nearest Fed ex office which was 60 miles round trip so they could see damage.All the above would have been cheaper and less trouble if I had bought a new mower.Never will I deal with this company again.I welcome all comments.Gary

As it was, I sent a package to Florida by parcel post, not even priority mail. I sent it 1 day before I ordered this part and it got there before the part was shipped.
I realize I could have chosen a faster shipping method, but would not have needed it if this supplier was more efficient at moving an order. I will order from another supplier next time, unless I am just buying something I don't need in less than 10 days.

(More customer reviews)The unit is pretty heavy duty and seems very strong and durable once put together. With the exception of the tires. The tires should be a lot wider for when trying to left the spikes from the ground and having a heavy load on the weight shelf. Which by the way, you will need a very heavy load to place on the shelf...otherwise the spikes will not penetrate the ground. And another thing... BE sure to have raked and/or picked up all the leaves before starting to use this item, otherwise the leaves will collect on the spikes and then they will not penetrate any further than the leaves will allow.
The Aerator was fairly hard to put together...even following the instructions...and I am a Handy Man by trade. The problem is getting the spike's on the shaft in a good and balanced order. I had to cut in half one of the plastic spacers in order to "balance space the spike "star wheels" on the shaft.
I thought about returning this item, but figured I could make some modifications to it later that may make it better.
