(More customer reviews)The housing appears to be a cast aluminium alloy. It is probably inevitable that within the life of the tractor this item will have to be replaced as it is likely to fracture at one or more of its fixing points. Many things are designed to fail so that spare parts can be sold in the future. Irritatingly Amazon was not prepared to ship the item to me in the UK and so I had to make an arrangement for the parts to be sent to my daughter in laws' parents who live in the USA and for them to redirect the parcel to me. Nevertheless if one needs this part Amazon is probably still the best bet if one lives in the UK.
