(More customer reviews)I feel bad that I took so long to write a review about these super blades. I bought a set of these 2yrs ago and just looked them up in my buying history to buy more.
My cutting experience is up to 6 acres on a commercial townhome property where a manicured look was an everyday goal. I use these blades on a 3/4 acre yard on a 38" Yard Machines (MTD) lawn tractor. Don't laugh, it's the right level of equipment for the job. I use a mulch kit wit these blades and the cuttings are so fine that the mulch it produces drops into the mowed grass about 95% leaving only a hint of a cutting trail. That's enough for me to be very happy with the results all the way to the next mowing.
Now, let me point out that I always cut my grass at the next to the highest level because it chokes out weeds and promotes very deep roots for a greener lawn. With deeper roots, the grass doesn't panic to produce wheat heads and the grass grows a lot slower.
The only down side to these blades is when I use a grass catcher to harvest cuttings for our compost where a "high lift" blade might create more vacuum to throw the cuttings into the bins.
Oh yeah, BTW, they last longer without sharpening than the standard OEM blades.
